Hello, folks!
It's been a while since the last time I posted my holiday in China.
Well, in the previous weeks I was busy to prepare for my departure to the Netherlands.
Also, I was busy having sooooo many farewell parties with family and friends (I will post it later!), and finally I have time to update my blog.
First of all,
FINALLY I MOVED TO THE NETHERLANDS!
I arrived at Amsterdam last Friday (August 21st) and it's been a week!
I was really excited although at that time I was a little bit jet-lag after almost 13hrs in a flight from Jakarta to Amsterdam (transit in HongKong for 3 hours).
From Amsterdam, I still had to continue my journey by Saxion Bus to the final destination, Enschede.
Enschede itself is a small town (I think it's similar as Malang) near Netherlands and Germany border. To get there, you can travel by train (it takes approx. 2.5 hours) from Schiphol Airport.
On the first time I arrived Enschede, all I could say was, "Wow... the town is very well-organized. No traffic jam, very safe, fresh air, great weather, and the citizens are very welcome!"
Like I've mentioned before, it's been a week and there were lots of unique things happened to me everyday, such as:
1. Walking from house to Centrum (2.4kms in 30minutes)
2. Buying a bike then two days later the tyre was flatten when I was on my way to campus. Solution? Another walking from house to campus near Centrum with broken bike. (DANG!) But thank God my friend could repair it.
3. Got shower (rain) twice on my way to home, and I was riding a bike.
4. Did a housework I've never done before in Indonesia but I succeed in first attempt. Who knows that we can cook rice without using rice-cooker or 'dandang'? :))))
5. Manage my own income and outcome so I could live well with what I have in my pocket.
6. Being welcomed by the citizens and foreigners at International Christian Fellowship. Previously, I was quite worried because there are more Catholic church than the Protestant ones. But, thank God I found one and they welcomed me with a warm heart. I feel home. :)
... and so on.
I know it's just a start-line for me. There are still 51 weeks left (or less) for me to spend in this beautiful country, and I hope I can survive it until I finish my school here and graduate.
