HELLOU!
Welcome back to the new post of 365!
*confetti*
So, last week I just opened a Q&A Session on my Instagram, and there were three questions came to my DM. (Well, a good start I think since I'm not a famous blogger or whatsoever.) I'm gonna answer them in English (It's been a long time since I post something using English!), and here we go!
What do I do (literally) during my workdays?
A lot!
Check-in - work - chill - work - chill - work - lunch - work - chill - work - chill - work - freaked out - work - Check-out; with music from 8.30 to 6 non-stop. HA!
Sorry, just kidding (but it's 40% true, tho).
Mostly I do take care of the clients' projects, from branding, graphic design, management stuffs, to their social media. I make the briefs for the designers based on client's request, sometimes I take a part in designing as well (if it's REALLY URGENT). Also, I take care of the internal office's stuffs, such as making reports about the prospects, preparing the presentations, etc.
(Wow, that's a lot, tho. I can't even believe it lol!)
It's all started with a coincidence. Maybe in about 2007 or 2008, I was interested in my friend's photo (she edited it using Photoshop with that glittery stuff), and I thought it was really cool (at that time, ofc.) So, I started to learn it by myself, and also by asking my friends how to do it. I kept practicing my (hidden) skill by being a volunteer to edit my friends' and family's photographs and also make their Friendster's layouts (it was pretty cool at that era, tho!) Later in 2010, I took it to the next level by making invitation designs for me and my friends' sweet 17th party celebrations. I started up my small business called "Simplyu Studio" and I was getting more interested in it.
In 2012, I took Visual Communication Design in Petra Christian University (majoring in Branding and Packaging). For me, the hardest thing about VCD is you have to keep exploring new ideas and you have to find the unseen core in every problem, which is quite difficult for me (but thank God I did it very well *sob*). If you asked about the most difficult subjects in VCD, I'd say,
"ILLUSTRATION AND 3D ANIMATION!!!"
Why illustration? Because I cannot draw.
(yes, you're reading it right. I don't have any talent in drawing like Pablo Picasso or Van Gogh).
Why 3D Animation? Gosh, it's soooooo complicated!
(in fact, now I'm doing 2D Animation in my spare time *pfftt*)
What is the work industry like?
It's really ..... exhausting, I guess.
Because you will face different problems every single day, you have to deal with different types of clients, and you have to keep your brain imaginative from am to pm.
But, it's really fun and exciting as well!
Because you won't get bored during the work (well, you're allowed to play your favorite songs to accompany you the whole day!), you can grab a cup of coffee if you're sleepy, you can play something if you're out of ideas!
Sounds great, right?? :))
I hope I give you a clear idea about the designer's world! Cheers!
When will I end my single status?
(I think this one is quite better than the Bahasa version HAHA!)
As soon as possible! (nope.)
Well, I hope in 2018 there will be a little miracle for this section lol!!
(I have no idea how to answer this question, really!)

Thanks for the questions, tho!
Maybe next time I should do more Q&A, I guess.

Last Monday, my big family (JEMURAN Family) held a big Christmas Celebration at my grandparents' house. It was really nice to meet the whole family members and also the families from my grandma's side. We talked a lot of things, we praised and worshipped God, we shared about God's goodness in our lives, and also we had a big dinner!
(don't forget to subscribe!!)
