Hola!
I hope you're doing well in this beautiful day.
Today, I'm gonna share the greatest things I had in 2015.
Well, time flies really fast.
I feel I'm still in January, and then boom! I'm already in the end of 2015.
HOW COME DOES IT GO REALLY FAST?
Okay, here are some the best moments at each month!
This will be a super long post, so prepare yourself before reading! :)
- JANUARY -
The first and absolutely my favourite month of the year!
Turning 21 means I'm on my legal age, and I'm allowed to drink alcohol (yep, the age minimum is 21 in Indonesia. //cmiiw). Also, I passed my IELTS Exam with 6.5, which means I was in requirement to get the scholarship.
- FEBRUARY -
The month of love, and finally I met aunty Maria and Stephanie in the middle of Chinese New Year's celebration. They came to Indonesia (especially Surabaya) to visit and meet her big family and her husband's big family (okay, this is a little bit confusing I know). It was really a pleasure to meet them after almost 6 or 7 months! (I visited Australia in mid 2014 and met them at Sydney).
- MARCH -
Hmm...
What should I say?
Okay,
I broke up, after six years.
But I didn't regret about it. I was even happy and full of joy because finally I can be the 'real me'.
For the first time in six years I cut my hair extremely short, and all my friends were totally in shock when they saw the new me. Haha.
- APRIL -
15.04.15 was a historical day for my big sis and her husband because they became parents!!!
Yes, I still remembered at that day, although I was in the middle of mid-term exam week, I still accompanied her to the hospital, then at 15.51 an adorable baby named Bryan Immanuel Gunawan was born (I was involved to give him a name, too!).
Another unforgettable moment was a week workshop by Saxion University of Applied Sciences (a university I'm finishing my graduation assignment now!), Netherlands. During the workshop, I got a lot of new things, such as an experience as a student in Netherlands, how the lecturer teach, etc. It was also nice to meet Tim Roosen and Matthijs van Veen who's finally become my lecturer in Netherlands now. :)
- MAY -
Well, there were not much events happened in this month. First thing was my grandmother's birthday. In my family tradition, we always held a birthday dinner in grandparents' house if someone is on his/her birthday. We really love to meet with each other since our houses are nearby (except my big bro), and also we love to eat!
The second thing was Bryan's first month celebration. I couldn't resist his cuteness since he was born! >.<
- JUNE -
Another amazing month for me. Why? Here are the reasons.
1. I was trusted to lead an event in Youth Bethany Surabaya called "PASSION" (ICYMI, you can read the article about the event here.), and it was totally unforgettable although we only had less than a month to prepare it.
2. I was in charge to make an invitation set for Niqe's parents' Silver Anniversary. Made from scratch (sketch, design, choosing the papers, etc.) and the final result was satisfying!
3. Celebrating grandfather and auntie's birthdays! Another great dinner time, another joyful night with a big family yay!
4. Last but not least, I GOT MY SCHOLARSHIP TO THE NETHERLANDS! My biggest dream came true after several months I was dying of waiting lol! It was like all my efforts were paid off!
- JULY -
My dad turned 50! Mum and I came to GAB Gracia's morning prayer to surprise him with cake and songs! We also held a special birthday dinner and invited a big family on the next day. I was so glad to have him as my father.
In this month as well, my second nephew Jeremy turned 1! I was in charge to make a dinner table set and take the photos during the celebration. It was fun to see him smile and laugh. ^^
I also had a trip to China with my family. Well, this trip was the most tiring holiday ever! We had to walk up and down on the mountains and hills. But the view was totally breathtaking!
- AUGUST -
This month was historical for me because on August 20th I moved to the Netherlands. Living far away from family and friends was a big step for me and well, I wasn't afraid at all (although I was a little bit nervous 'cause it was the first time I took a long trip by plane without mom and dad.). Before the day, I had a chance to have a short escape to Solo for my cousin's engagement and Jakarta for my far cousin's wedding. I also had a chance to meet Kent Sutjipto (he's a 'celebrity' in Ask.FM)!
Days (or a week) before departure, I had several farewells with my friends. Truly the farewells were fun although that was the last time I could meet them.
- SEPTEMBER -
Living as a new student in the Netherlands, I experienced a lot of things, such as riding a bike to the campus, making a meal for myself, arranging the money, managing the time, etc. Sometimes I found myself stressed and depressed, but thank God because He always be with me.
Also, in this month I joined ICF Choir as a pianist! It was one of my to-do list if I arrived in Netherlands. I had to serve Him wherever I was.
- OCTOBER -
My first trip with DKVers (Angel, Mulyo, Aldyth, Melia) in Europe! We visited Paris and Milan for a week, and the journey was totally FUN! Although we were damn tired of walking and taking our luggage, but we enjoyed every single thing that happened during the trip.
(Later, I will post about the trip!)
- NOVEMBER -
I joined a committee in PPI Enschede for Indonesian Evening 2015, a culture event to promote the beauty of Indonesia. I was in charge to make a brand for this year's theme and take the video. The event was a great success! The guests were satisfied with the performances and the foods, and so were the committee. From nothing to something, from getting awkward to getting crazy together! :)
- DECEMBER -
It's the most wonderful time of the year!
No, I'm not singing.
In this month, I had a chance to have another trip with the girls (Evania, Linda, Latifah) to Germany before Christmas.
Although it was a really short escape (only 4 days 3 nights), it was totally amazing! We visited 8 different markets like WHAT?! /lol/
Also, it was the first time for me to celebrate Christmas Day far away from home.

After writing all unforgettable moments, I was like, "Wow, that's a lot, but there are still more unforgettable moments unwritten!"
For me, this year is totally amazing and beyond my expectations. It is also a new starting point for me. I feel that God has done something incredible to me in this whole year. I'm truly blessed beyond measure.
Thank God for giving me a great year in 2015, for sending the most lovable people into my life everyday. Even though I am far away from home, but He gives me 'the second home'.
2015, an amazing year to remember. :)
