Umm...
Hi.
Finally I have some little time to post something. (he.)
Actually I have sleeping issue (I can't sleep as easy as I was a kid, tho.), so to kill ((kill)) the night, I'm gonna write a review.
Not a single review, but TWO KINDS OF REVIEWS, but still related to each other. Even, they are both related to MUSIC!
Sounds great, huh?
*party*
The first thing I'm gonna review is my friend's project for her campus.
Call her Sara, she is living in Busan, South Korea for student exchange.
Last week she tagged me in her video with her classmates.
It was a music video cover titled "Out Here On My Own" (Canonical Version).
She sang the lyrics meanwhile her friend Romy played the piano.
(Yes, the piano is the only instrument they used).
You can watch it here on Youtube.
A little synopsis about the clip (I took it from the video's description):
From the movie, the girl is mute. She desires to sing, imagines she is able to talk like the others. Every time she plays her piano alone in her house, her neighbors would visit and encourage her.
This music video is the implementation of the official MV Out Here on My Own with the summary of the character of the girl herself.
Review:
I love how they used B/W Monochrome as their concept. It gave more dramatic feels when I watched the video. Moreover, I love the part when the model stood and played the keyboard with the windows as the only main light (I am not sure that was Sara, who knows?).
The other part I (and Sara) love is this on below. If you can look it very carefully, you can see a rose flower opposite the hands playing the piano. Looks very romantic, doesn't?

In the other hand, the video is quite shaking in some part (I feel bad for this) it might be because they didn't use tripod while filming. Then, due to window lights, I couldn't see it very clear (I think they did it on purpose).
For the audio quality itself, I can understand they are still newbie, so they used what they had for recording. On the first part, I couldn't hear Sara's voice very well (she sang in very low note), but when it goes to the chorus, I started to hear it well until the end of the song.
Overall, it is a great music video and an amazing song. I can feel the taste of Korean MV (lols!), and in my opinion, they were succeed to bring the story through the video.
Score: 7/10

The second review is about my senior's final thesis.
Call her Audrey, she is now on the final semester in the same department as me.
For her final thesis, she decided to make an E-Book for parents and kids to learn piano.
You can read it or even download it (FREE!) on GoogleDrive.
You can find anything about piano. ANYTHING!
Starts by how music gives impact to our lives since we are still in our mom's womb, how music can increase our IQ, etc.
She also gives some tips and tricks about playing piano, some song samples to practice, and informations for parents.
With understandable language and interesting illustrations, both parents and kiddos won't be bored to read it!
Review:
It is a very nice E-Book to read, especially for young parents who want their future kiddos to be pianists!
It really helps you to find out the benefits of playing music, especially piano.
The words she used are easy to understand
This book can also be a guideline for piano teachers to teach their students.
For me, as a pianist, this book is very recommended.
Score: 9/10
(if only the book is available in hardcopy. *cough*)

So......
Here they are!
I hope you enjoy my reviews.
I'm sorry for the short (?) reviews, I'm still newbie to do it *sob*.
Thank you for reading, and don't forget to have a look at my friend's works.
They are RAWKS!
See you in my next posts! :)
